Early Morning Preparation
The day starts early at Roger’s Plumbing & Heating, usually before the sun rises. After grabbing my morning coffee, I check the day’s schedule of furnace maintenance appointments and emergency calls that came in overnight.
First Calls of the Day
By 7:30 AM, I’m already at our first appointment. Winter months are particularly busy with furnace inspections and repairs. Each home presents unique challenges, from older systems requiring careful attention to modern high-efficiency units needing precise calibration.
Common Daily Tasks Include:
- Performing thorough furnace inspections
- Cleaning and replacing air filters
- Testing safety systems and controls
- Checking for carbon monoxide leaks
- Calibrating thermostats
Emergency Response
Between scheduled appointments, we often receive urgent calls from customers with heating emergencies. Nothing is more satisfying than restoring warmth to a cold home, especially during harsh winter days.
End of Day
Before heading home, I ensure all service reports are complete and my truck is restocked for tomorrow’s calls. It’s rewarding knowing that our work helps keep families comfortable and safe throughout the heating season.
Continuous Learning
The HVAC industry constantly evolves with new technologies and efficiency standards. Part of our commitment to excellence includes regular training sessions to stay current with the latest heating system innovations and repair techniques.
